i start work in 3 days!
excited, nervous, apprehensive…
BRG’s located on the 25th floor of one of the century plaza towers in century city (a commercial and residential district in LA), so i’ll be working with a view of bright lights and hollywood hills (literally) for the next 10 weeks!
getting this internship was such a fucking ordeal. i’m just so glad all of my efforts weren’t in vain. i very distinctly remember one my friends saying to me, “this is where you might be working!” while we were on a tour of banks and finance firms in century city a couple months ago, and me, verging on despair at the time, just thinking, “i really, really, really fucking hope so…”
i really do think i’ll enjoy litigation consulting. it encompasses pretty much everything i enjoyed about corporate finance, and it’s so relevant to daily business news. i love that. but i guess we’ll see!
on a related note, i’ve noticed that articles concerning international economic news on the wall street journal are constantly quoting consultants. international economic consulting… that’d be something. i should look into that.
